Our children want to know why a religion that calls for so much killing is a good religion.
If there are any muslims wishing to express regret for what happened in Paris on Nov 13, 2015, they can do it here. I welcome every single one.
This blog takes an outsider's perspective, hence 'extra machina'. It is unattached to any particular party, nationality, religion or ideology, though its tendency is European conservative. The content is commentary, preferably irreverent. It is not political science. For my professional work, go to researchgate.com or check out my Kindle book, Five Essays on Power.

You see, after two weeks, not a single comment. Of course, I am not all that surprised, this blog being as obscure as it is. In the meantime I have seen Muslims interviewed who are upset about being asked to apologize for what a few crazy people have done. It is not their concern; they never advocated killing anybody. Just as I should ignore the self-proclaimed Christian mass murderer in Norway who eradicated a generation of young idealists -? Other Muslims, I am sure, feel more deeply concerned, but keep it to themselves. The best reaction would be for all who oppose senseless killing to object directly to those who advocate it.
